Bres Jacques - "Producing identity by the telling of a camivalesque action". Oral narrative is a tale of identity: whilst developing the plot of an event and in relation to the interaction which the narrator sketches with his listeners, the teller talks about his identities which he contributes to produce in the process. Two narratives of an identical camivalesque action related by two different narrators are studied: in the first, the sexual identity of the female narrator supports the social identity production in relation to the camivalesque script ; in the second, the sexual identity of the male narrator neutralises this production by condemning it
