VION Robert - For a relational approach of verbal interactions and discourse. Discourse genres and typologies of verbal interactions pertain to the same realm of linguistic reality. A critical appraisal of the available classifications of discourse genres and of verbal interactions is justified both by the closeness of the phenomena involved and by the fact that the fulfillment of the agenda of any science requires a classification of the objects that fall within its scope. However, the categorization of given linguistic entities does not imply that these are to be analyzed as homogeneous and static events to be placed in the neat pigeonholes of classification. So, we present a relational approach of discourses and verbal interactions which emphasizes the activities of actors, and insists on the complexity, the heterogeneity and the dynamism of verbal productions
