Widmer, Jean - "Goffman and Garfinkel : frames and organization of experience". H. Garfinkel's and E. Goffman's changing conceptualisations of the rationality of social action, and particularly of strategic actions, are compared. A second part applies frame analysis to the social production of gender and to the structures of conversations. Finally, the underlying game concepts used by both authors are discussed, drawing some conclusions about social theory and social structures
