EVANGELICAL WOMEN AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: WHAT THE GOVERNMENT AND THE CHURCH HAVE TO DO WITH IT? in recente decades, the increase of the quota of women who declare being Evangelical has been the subject of research aimed at understanding the Brazilian religious dynamic, however, the increase in the number of Evangelical women who claim to have been assaulted by their partners still needs more attention from researchers working on domestic violence. Depending on the level of involvement of Evangelical women with Church, this women can play a fundamental role for the permanence or for the break of its "faithful" with violent marriages. This finding raised our interest in listening Evangelical women in violence situation and perpetrators of violence, in order to bring to light the ways both understand the relations of domination that weave in the household, and the possible influence of your confession of faith in the process of perpetuation or break from the cycle of violence. The research involved eight Pentecostal women listening in two focus groups and also interviews with four men perpetrators of violence
