the present text aims analyze the question of belief system from concepts of imagery and representation. Your reference with the imaginary and representation is within the approach of Wunenburger, a French philosopher, specialist in studies on the representative imaginary. His work seeks an approximation with structuralist anthropology to analyze symbols and myths in their relations with rationalism in the world contemporary. Part of problem is that belief is a product of human imagination. The basic premise is think that the imaginary would indeed be the source of symbolic constructs of belief. It's an analysis of one work of that author skewed by other quotes and points of view. It is hoped by this study to broaden the debate around the question of human beliefs and how they are built socially. Sistema de Crenças como Imaginário em Wunenburger Resumo: o presente texto tem por objetivo analisar a questão do sistema de crenças a partir dos conceitos de imaginário e representação. Referencia-se imaginário e representação, dentro da abordagem de Wunenburger, um filósofo francês, especialista em estudos sobre o imaginário representativo, sendo que, sua obra busca uma aproximação com a antropologia estruturalista para analisar símbolos e mitos nas suas relações com o racionalismo no mundo contemporâneo. Parte-se do problema de que a crença seria um produto do imaginário humano. A premissa básica é pensar que o imaginário seria de fato fonte das construções simbólicas da crença. Trata-se de uma análise de uma das obras do autor enviesada por outras citações e pontos de vista. Espera-se com esse estudo, ampliar o debate entorno da questão das crenças humanas e como estas se constroem socialmente
