The article examines the ways that classic problems of workers' self-organization have reemerged in contemporary social struggles in Latin America. It focuses on three issues: self-organization in the economic and the political spheres, self-organization and the duality of powers, and forms of organization and their class content. The author analyzes how these issues appear in specific experiences of current social struggles in Latin America
