She is the author of Factory Girl Literature: Sexuality, Violence and Representation in Industrialising Korea (University of California Press, 2012), and co-editor with Elyssa Faison of Gender and Labour in Korea and Japan: Sexing Class (Routledge, 2009). Her new book is a biographical history of Korea’s early communist women.
