Various ancient artifacts fabricated from bronze sheet show an array of small holes used for attaching by stitching or rivetting. It is demonstrated how small holes close to each other and close to edges of the sheet can be rapidly fabricated by a simple sequence of operations using a punch, a drift and a flat-faced hammer, leaving no raised metal on either surface
