Research Article| November 01 2017 Eros: Political Limit of the Death Drive Rosaura Martínez Ruiz Rosaura Martínez Ruiz Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Mexico City Rosaura Martínez Ruiz is associate professor of philosophy at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico City. She serves as the coordinator of the research project “Philosophers after Freud” and is the author of Freud y Derrida: escritura y psique (2013), Filósofos después de Freud (2015), and Eros: más allá de la pulsión de muerte (forthcoming). She has published several articles on the intersections between psychoanalysis and deconstruction, which include “Freud and Derrida: Writing and Speculation,” Filozofski vestnik (2015), “The Freudian Psychic Apparatus: A Bio-Politics of Resistance and Alteration,” The Undecidable Unconscious (2015), and “The Psychic Machine: An Economic Phenomenon of Lifedeath,” Mosaic Journal (2015). She also serves on the advisory board of the International Consortium of Critical Theory Programs coordinated by Judith Butler.
