The purpose of the following study is to describe the spatial regularities which appeared in the development of the television receiving network in Poland. The study spans the period from 1957, when television was effectively introduced into the country, up to 1968, the latest year with reported statistics. The dynamics of the spread of this phenomenon are shown by increments in the number of television sets throughout the country. The differentiation in time and space of this diffusion phenomenon manifests itself in stages of development characterized by the formation of isolated centers, followed by dissemination into the surrounding countrysides
