L'A. se propose d'analyser de phenomene de conversion au christianisme qui s'est empare de l'aristocratie senatoriale romaine au debut du IV e siecle de notre ere. L'etude resserre le probleme autour de la question de la contribution des femmes a ce processus de conversion : comment les femmes, avant l'avenement de l'ascetisme, exprimaient-elles leur piete ? Comment transmettaient-elles leur foi et dans quelle mesure pouvaient-elles influencer les milieux politiques ? Pour repondre a ces interrogations, le present article recentre son interet sur les femmes d'un clan noble, les Anicii a Rome, parce que les sources a leur propos sont abondantes. L'A. s'appuie aussi sur un document lie a ce clan et connu sous le nom de Cento of Proba
