A much debated issue, that of the antique tin roads. New trails for the West are being here proposed stemming from a few assessments of Diodorus’s text on the tapping of the metal in Cornwall, the meaning of the Gallic words in cass-, the discovery of new centres of production in Gaul : Armoric, the Blond hills, the Bibracte area, northern Aveyron, the Ariege foothills.
