This article aims to analyze the geopolitical imaginaries surrounding the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Argentina's foreign policy and domestic development during the first year of Javier Milei's administration. The research is framed within the perspective of critical geopolitics, drawing on primary and secondary sources to shed light on the geopolitical imaginaries around AI present in Javier Milei's foreign policy. These ideas are also contrasted with the policies that have been effectively implemented. We conclude that these imaginaries-referred to here as technolibertarian imaginaries-align with those of Silicon Valley's techno-utopian leaders and continue to assign Argentina a subordinate role, replicating a model of international insertion based on the supply of natural resources and low-cost human capital within the global AI value chains
