THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES OF CANADA continues to acquire and preserve a wide variety of archival documentation relating to the history of labour unions, federal government involvement in labour relations, and other nationally significant organizations and individuals affecting the lives of working men and women. Since Danny Moore's report in Labourite Travailleur, 10 (Autumn 1982), significant additions have been made to the labour archives programme of the Manuscript Division. This report highlights recent acquisitions received from private sources over the past five years. Many of these accessions are not yet fully arranged and described, and several collections have restrictions on public access. For further details, researchers are asked to contact the National Archives of Canada before planning their research trip. Additional reports on new acquisitions from the Government Archives Division will appear in the next issue of Labourite Travail, as well as reports from other archival repositories across the country. Following this report is that of the Moving Image and Sound Archives of the NAC
