Medical Discourse, Revolution and Illness in the USSR. The two sections of this article are both opposites and complementary. The first deals with how leninist discourse treats activists and society - the social body -, the way a doctor treats the human body. The second observes, through the eyes of the first doctors of the soviet period, how bureaucratic life was a therapy for their illnesses, the response of militants to their change in status after the victory of the revolution
