The Senegalese diamond merchants' contemporary adventure. For the Senegalese diamond dealing is not new even if they don't stand on the forefront. Their experience, though individual, draws on the pulaar oral tradition and drives them to the Central African Republic to Congo or Zaère. Despite the existence of family and integration political strategies in host countries, they are often deported during xenophobic upsurges. With these development, family mobilization is as much necessary to penetrate local networks as to manage for the best the capital brought back to the country. Back to Senegal, those who did well, take responsibilities within associations or political charges to go into business
