Despite living in eras 200 years apart and coming from radically different cultures, the biographies of political leaders Jayaprakash Narayan and Thomas Jefferson bear a marked resemblance. Not only did these men have many personal traits in common, but their careers tended to follow similar patterns. More importantly, they were in agreement on virtually every crucial aspect of their political thinking. As embodiments of world revolutionary ideals, they have jointly given succeeding generations the inspiration and guidelines to draw upon when tackling the problems of a new age
