The author presents a six-stage modelfor sexual decision-making. The discussion includes the considerations and implications inherent at each stage with emphasis on the effect the various decisions have upon child, parent, extendedfamily, and society as a whole. The paper concludes with a statement of the utility and value of the proposed model. Hopefully, it could provide a framework for discussion which would encourage sexual decision-making on the basis of long-range implications rather than on a short-term basis
