The present paper attempts a brief review of the major changes in the health status of the non-white segment of the American population during approximately the past decade, especially in relation to comparable changes in the total population. As noted in a previous report wvhich considered longevity and health status of the nonwhite segment of the stocktaking from time to time would seem prerequisite to an intelligent appraisal of past progress, current needs, and future prospects
