The purpose of this essay is to show that both the book Se um viajante numa noite de inverno (1979), by the writer Italo Calvino, and the poem "Blind Light", published in the book Um teste de resistores (2004), by Marília Garcia, would be elaborating a kind of sketch, test, drift: in the first one, by reading, in the second one, by writing. In other words: in this essay, based on the encounter between these two authors, it would be necessary to think about how the novel and the poem resort, each in its own way, to a work of citation that dramatizes a principle of opening the text
