Systematic study was carried out on 733 children of 1 to 12 years age belonging lo tea garden worker of Assam for assessing their nutritional status in terms of anthropometric parameters. The anthropometric parameters are well comparable with that of National averages. Female children were found to be more well off in comparison to male There was slight retardation of growth upto 4 years in both male and female children in comparison to Indian standard, however they recoup or higher age
