Investigation on the onset of menarche and menopause among the Ahom women is reported. Results are compared with those of the other populations of Assam. It emerges out from the analysis that the present Ahom sample not only akin to other Mongoloid groups but also shows close (statistical) affinity with several Caucasoid (Castes) groups of high social status
