Thus, the aim was to interpret the gardener's gesture in the historic garden based on the knowledge developed through their interaction with the garden. By intersecting the works of garden and philosophy scholars such as Clément and Merleau-Ponty, this knowledge was identified to characterize the creative and preservative gestures necessary for the garden's continuity over time open work
