In this article, I resume the concept of 'standpoint,' a notion mainly defended by black feminisms in Brazil, against the persistent denial by the hegemonic media of rejecting structural racism in their news productions. In this context, the criticisms, mostly limited to identity arguments or reverse silencing, disregard the historical absence of racial content in the narratives published in mainstream media, thus nullifying a racial 'standpoint.' As an example, I note the low number of black columnists that exercise their standpoint in print and digital media and thus interfere in public opinion. I offer a critical analysis of how the discourses of black and anti-racist feminisms are 'cancelled' creating a negotiation threshold that does not exceed the greater presence of black journalists, mainly on Brazilian TV, which is a novelty despite barriers
