This article aims to bring theoretical discussions for a brief reflection on issues that permeate the theme female entrepreneurship and the challenges that surround it, these being the solidarity economy and e-commerce, aiming to articulate the influence that one exerts on the other in the current scenario of entrepreneurship. For the collection of sources, a bibliographical research was carried out in repositories such as SciELO and Google Scholar. From the selected readings it was possible to notice the growing participation of women in the labor market as well as their empowerment and self-affirmation as independent women in today's society. We conclude that entrepreneurship is one of the paths to female empowerment, increasing the participation of women in the labor market
