This thesis analyzes the presence of african descendants in Brazilian comics, in quantitative and qualitative aspects.The research found historical information about those characters in specialized books, newspapers, comic books and other publications.It includes an analysis of visual representation of black characters with the purpose of verify prejudices and stereotypes ocurrencies in such representation
