From the comparison between Brazil and the United States, this thesis investigates various forms of moral management of indigenous peoples intertwined in their compulsory incorporation into the colonial system as well as the responses of the indigenous peoples in these two countries.Such a comparison sought to incorporate the two-spirit and decolonial perspectives in order to understand the paths from which the subordination of indigenous homosexuality become an inherent part of colonization. Thus, we understand that colonization necessarily mean the creation of a bureaucraticadministrative, political and psychological apparatus (straightening, in its many forms) to normalize indigenous sexuality, shaping them to the colonial order. However, such discipline practices do not prevent responses by the natives whose sexuality operates out of the hegemonic model, and such forms of contestation allow us to understand more about indigenous movements, interethnic relations, indigenous and policies, as well as relations power in these two national contexts
