This research examines interspecies relationships present in the life of coastal and riverine Amazonian communities, especially from fishing as an extractive and predatory activity and main livelihood of such populations.In a context where local inhabitants, environmental agencies and researchers from different sciences operate through conservation and preservation policies directed to aquatic fauna, the study seeks to understand situations of conflict and possible cooperation in the interactions resulting from fishingand hunting.Considering also the conceptions and perceptions of the involved actors, and the resolutions and procedures that order the actions of monitoring, research and extractive activities, affecting that fauna (fishes, mammals and other animals that inhabit aquatic environments), this work approaches their consequences to the affected species
