This research was mainly focused on understanding "permanent" temporary migration of rural workers from the city of Jaicós/PI to the city of Matão/SP.The use of qualitative methodology, based on direct observation, was necessary because of the flow between the spaces of origin and destination.As a resulto of research, we verified that the comings and goings for the harvest of orange in Matão/SP are na important sctrucutral parto f the social dynamics of Jaicós/PI
