Os sentidos da dança

This work is a report about an experience.Ifs about the (.POR QUÁ? experimental dance group' s career-its formation and criation process.Its purpose comes from the comprehension of dance as a sort of knowledge, apropriation and organization ofi'in the world.And this knowledge is considered to come from practise, the united men work.Thus, dance is a result and also productive agent o f human being by its social relations: with itself, the others and the world.The discussion emerges from the diminishing treatment often given to dance which is produced and heightened by the conception of two contradictory elements like "dothink" and "body-mind" -getting it further from the contradictions which are present in our society.So, dance is acclaimed to be a spontaneous feeling or a prodigious physical hability ignoring the problematics which involve its materialization.The experience o f (.POR QUÁ? is settled under three aspects: the work' s purpose, the student-dancers and the audience.It has looked foward to making conections between the group's purpose and its materialization considering its social reality.The purpose of the dance appropriation by its historical and dialetic comprehension aims to overcome the permeating contradictions and its potencialization as a creative activity
