The research in question aims to understand the new metamorphoses of technical-professional education in connection with the organizational arrangements and the managerial demands of the capital system in the context of deepening neoliberal logic. The main axis of this redirection of the process of social precarization of teaching work results from the constitution of a precarious world of work. The causal and indissoluble nexus between the crisis of the capital system in contemporaneity and the recent changes in the world of work will be investigated from the new configurations of teaching work in technical and vocational education in Brazil, focusing on the neoliberal model of professional and technological education of the State of São Paulo. In order to carry out a coordinated research effort and systematic reflection on the changes in the world of work and their articulations in the new configuration of professional education at the beginning of this century, the progress of the analysis moves from the centrality of work to the teaching subjectivity. It seeks to study the constitutive elements that inform the way of being and being in the world and in the professional education, focusing on the differentiated forms of degradation and labor precarization. It focuses on the existential attributes of teacher precariousness, among which we highlight the subalternity, chance and contingency, existential insecurity and lack of control, personal drift and suffering, assujeitamento and desefetivação, corrosion of character, social invisibility, psychological manipulation, disenchantment with the profession, deteriorated identity and alienated individuality of class. The research includes the study of the crisis of teacher unionism in the era of financially post-Fordism, with the presentation of a recent institutional balance sheet of the category union, document analysis, congressional resolutions, interviews, strikes, forms of rationalization and control of the trade union bureaucracy. It is also intended to offer an ontological analysis of the work process and of teacher unionism in theoretical and empirical perspective, from the indication of the scope and limits of trade unionism
