The thesis inserts in the set of studies already carried out about prejudice to contribute with relevant discussions lifting both as regards social scope as mainly to school, with a focus on early childhood education.Takes as its theoretical the Critical Theory of Society and Psychoanalysis.Aims to investigate the interactions among children with a view to ascertaining tensions and possible prejudiced attitudes between them.Was carried out on the basis of a qualitative approach opting to do a research with children to know their attitudes, expressions, and behaviors.Was chosen a municipal school of early childhood education from the city of São Paulo, which assists children four to six years of age, full-time and part-time.The instrument chosen for collection and description of the facts was the record of observations of children's routine.Some psychological categoriesas attitudes and prejudicewere taken as courses' research.The analysis and interpretation of observations showed prejudiced attitudes among children with regard to gender issues, significant physical differences and religious.Also demonstrated that children had no opportunity to discuss these attitudes, not to be heard, as a result of posture and lack of intervention on the part of the teacher.The thesis allows infer that education for difference in this institution represents a condition especially challenging for everyone.Brings data that can contribute to the discussions and actions involving the prejudice to take effect.Proposes, also, look how the prejudice happens in childhood.Points out the need to carry out more research in an attempt to identify prejudice in school practices, to understand the mechanisms that lead the individual to develop it and indicate possible paths to combat it.Suggests that the professionals who work in early childhood education are formed according to the paradigm of diversity
