This dissertation aims to understand how the umbanda experiences transmitted to Curimba are crossed by transculturation, by biographical objects and by gender relations. For this, I resort to the historiography already written on the subject, to the foundation of oral history and to fieldwork, through which the specificities of three terreiros in São Paulo were investigated: Templo de Umbanda Caboclo Pena Branca in the municipality of Taubaté/SP, Templo da Estrela Verde in Jacareí/SP and Templo Amor e Caridade Pena Verde in São Paulo. As in the umbanda tour, dividing this analysis into lines of work.I open the way by presenting the frequented terreiros and the narrators in their tradition, welcome and brotherhood. In the first line, I try to understand umbanda as a crossing religion that interacts with different religious matrices through a transcultural process, combining mainly Central African elements. In the second dissertation on curimba, in particular the drums and agogôs sung in it, fundamental in the path and sounds within the terreiros, will be observed as biographical objects related to agency experiences. In the third, I tried to understand how gender relations, identities and bodies are revived by the concept of lived experience and theories about corporeity in umbanda.I conclude with the transcribed interviews of the narrators. In this research, I highlight just one of the countless possibilities that appear in the interviews, understanding, mainly, how the curimba in the terreiros instigates to listen to stories permeated with spirituality
