Considering the literary translation an act of recreation, this dissertation aims to analyze the eight Chinese elegies translated by Camilo Pessanha, establishing relationships between them and this author ́s poetry, manifested, principally, in the same thematic that would be present in Clepsydra and in those Ming's dynasty poems translated.In this analysis, we will also discuss language and alterity in a dislocating process and the dislocation in the transcriptions of ideograms into Portuguese words, expressions and poetry
