In Sociodrama perspective, the curtains are opened: the stage is the Brazilian 21st century's Higher Education. This work aims to reflect on the permanence of groups/collectives, previously on the margin, in Higher Education. We look at the "epistemic inclusion", represented by the Encounters between popular and academic knowledge. The scene is composed of public policies that foster the public and private sectors.A diversity of institutions dedicated to Higher Education rise dressed in their missions and politicalpedagogical proposals. The growing number of high school graduates, the organized collectives, the invisible territories, the market demanding workers to its gears and the defenders of the strategic role Universities have in the nation's path require this stage's democratization. Some voices reverberate, others are muted. These institutions, equipped with ritualsuniversity entrance exams and ENEM (High School National Exam) -, allow access, but do not guarantee the permanence on the stage. And, in order to stay, you have to undress yourself of practices, beliefs and cultural references to assume the academic gown, which was sewn at north in the hegemonic mold.In the paths between knowledge privilege to the elite and factory floor education to the masses, there are those in the audience who observe at the margin and see bridges under construction, which connect the University and the people. Some of these institutions guide themselves to the south in order to shelter the popular and not pasteurize it in masse.Elected as protagonic territory, Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia (UFSB) was inaugurated in 2014 and has aself-nominatedinclusive vocation. The theoretical framework oriented by the thoughts of Moreno, Freire, Pichon-Rivière, Quijano and Mignolo allows to, with the coloniality lens, understand the communities' dramas that get in the university. The inner Sociodrama becomes an investigative tool from which scenes are built via narratives of the researcher's experiences in the surroundings of UFSB.The work reflects on permanence, initially looking at students, but the drama of the institution itself emerges, spokesperson for many other dramas, such as those of public and free universities, which insist on staying.Ultimately, the protagonic permanence ceases to be that of peoples' knowledges to be its existence. It is concluded that hunger, "dolorities", affections and care found in the studied territory point to the need to care for the "Southed" University to remain
