This thesis proposes intertwining between feminists theories and participative artistic creation to analise and discuss the power of women's artistic production to other women. The participative cartography project, Mulheres do Mar, in Fortaleza/CE between 2019 and 2021, is used as a field study, to gather repertoires, concept proposed by Diana Taylor (2013), as opposed to archival memory perpetuated by Iracema, a work published in 1865 by a local author, José de Alencar. To that effect, in artistic residencies made with women of different neighborhoods, we created a series of performances and materialities starting with an autobiographical account by each of them, that unfolds into an performative installation in the sands of Iracema beach, an exhibition site, and a published book. The dissertation is composed of two parts.First, I seek clarity about the participation of women in historic, social contexts through the discussions about the colonization process in relation to feminist theorists Silvia Federici (2017), Aura Cumes (2019), Yuderkys Espinosa Miñoso (2017) and Françoise Vergès (2020).In the aesthetic political angle, I address the participation through studies about performative art by Claire Bishop (2012), Cenários Liminares by Ileana Diéguez (2011), The Transformative Power of Performance: A New Aesthetics by Erika Fischer-Lichte (2019) in conjunction with works of Regina José Galindo (Guatemala), LASTESIS (Chile) and Renata Felinto (São Paulo).Second, I analise the project Mulheres do Mar, including introduction to singularities in the urban context of the Fortaleza coast, methodological approach of the residency process and analysis of the performances and materialities created during the project.Utilizing an interview with Priscila Toscano (São Paulo), visits to archives, videos and interviews with the participants of Mulheres do Mar, I seek to understand the intersections between these works and the feminist discourse, including Sueli Carneiro (1995) and Grada Kilomba (2019).In conclusion, I perceive participative practices as performance space that may create discussions about new ways to visibility beyond those imposed by patriarchal archived transmission
