This master's dissertation aims to study the world visions about indigenous people that are carried by ministers of the Brazilian Superior Court of Justice. To do that, we attempt to comprehend how the Brazilian Superior Court of Justice have been judging who is an "integrated Indian" as disposed at article 4, III, of the Federal Law 6.001/1973 (Statute of Indians). To do that, an empirical qualitative analysis of the decisions between 2004 and 2017 of this court is done with the help of content analysis and interpretative anthropology. Our objective with this research is to provide elements for an evaluation of the images that the judiciary mobilizes of the indigenous peoples, their identities and their rights
