This research work focuses on a deep analysis of the experience of Brazilian women living in Denmark who migrate due to family reunification. This thesis meet its aims through a methodology of extensive field research using qualitative and quantitative sources, within the framework of gender and migration and transmigration studies. The quantitative data was obtained through the Danish Immigration Service and the Danish Statistics Service. The qualitative data is the result of interviews with immigrant Brazilian women living officially in Denmark under the legal status of family reunification. This study investigates who these women are and all legal and social obstacles they meet when immigrating to another country, and facing a culture different from what they are used to.The analysis of the material collected in the field along with the interview materials, led to the identification of the non-existence of a unique profile under which to classify these women, but rather was drawn to the conclusion that they are part of the same plurality of experiences and realities existing in Brazil and which are transported overseas with them. With these changes, these women undergo a process of deconstruction and reconstruction of identities, recreating new frontiers of 'culturally being or existing' in another "land
