I have opted for a slightly startling formulation that is intended to be grammatically more cognate with French language expressions such as 'peuple artiste' or 'style artiste': in French, a noun can sometimes be used as an adjective following a noun; the first describes a society whose members are gifted artistically, the second an aesthetic style.
