The aquarelle of J. B. Debret, titled Guaicuru Cavalry Charge, since it's publication in 1834 received different meanings, from art for treat and fruition to symbol of warrior resistance and identity for people in Mato Grosso do Sul State at the end of 20th century. The subject of this reflection is to catch the dynamic and historicity of this apprehension process that turned the Indian Knight on myth. The aquarelle inspired resignifyed reproductions in it's whole as well in change of plans with the displacement of the Indian Knight from the first plan to the back generating the solitary horse used in monuments and statues, reinforcing the perception of the dynamics of the images. In it's shadows, the society doesn't escape from the confront of it's contradictions facing the living Guaicuru-Kadiwéu with their claim of rights over the land
