This article, written with an emphasis on historical analyses, addresses the developments of student movements and local political power, resulting from the crime committed against the 27-year-old lycean student Sady Castor Correia de Araújo, who was murdered next to the iron railings in the Comendador Felizardo square Leite, in front of the Escola Normal, on September 22, 1923, in the city of Parahyba, capital of the then state of Parahyba do Norte. The case had wide repercussions, mainly in the media at the time (printed newspapers), with reflections on the Parahybano and national political scene, coinciding with the aggravation of local factional tensions, not coincidentally, on the eve of the previous ones in 1924.to understand the motivations that led the students of Grêmio Cívico-Literário 24 to a political confrontation with the State Government of Parahyba do Norte, suggesting that Student Sady's violent and regretful death served as a "trigger" for the aggravation of local political tensions.Inscribed in a theoretical perspective of New Cultural History, exploring the field of phenomena around the problematic of new histories and the expansion of the historian's field of study from the perspective of Micro-History.The methodology adopted is close to what Ginzburg (1991) entitled of "indicative paradigm", also defined by Barros (2004) as "intensive analysis of the sources".Use them as privileged sources of newspapers and magazines of the time, official, legal and historiographical documents and part of the literature on the case
