This bibliography lists all the writings by and on Sylvia Townsend Warner in Britain and the USA published since her death in 1978. Because no comprehensive critical account of her work has yet appeared, there is a need to cover her own work and its critical reception. Posthumous editions of Sylvia Townsend Warner's work have revealed a brilliant and many-sided oeuvre that includes poetry, short stories, memoir, biography and translations, but critics have mainly focused on her early novels and late fairy stories, a bias which this twofold bibliography aims to redress by including both editorial and critical work
