e relations among space and sexuality have been object of an increasing interest by social sciences, particularly human geography.In the debate on the "epistemology of the closet" proposed by Sedgwick (1994 and2004) and its spatiality (Brown, 2000 and2006), it is reasserted the metaphorical, although territorialized, view of the presence of closet in the urban experiences of lesbian, gay and bisexual population.Some hypotheses about homosexual sociabilities in the city of Coimbra are presented, highlighting the fact that this lesbian, gay and bisexual population has increasing visibility in this city, strongly organizing itself in friend webs that play an essential role in its members' sociability. is way, this fringe of population build sociability and experience models in some sites of the city that work as security and visibility places and that have been appropriated by this population
