Overview This pilot study in the United Kingdom was undertaken in order to begin to investigate what school helpers can do when children in their care try out hands-on exhibits. Methods were developed to collect and analyse information gathered on helpers’ responses. An attempt was then made to describe the different types of response which helpers made and to identify which responses were the most common
