The main objective was to determine the tourism carrying capacity (TCC) that can perform daily Chankanaab Natural Park, massive destination for cruise hikers that arrive to Cozumel island, Mexico. The hypothesis stated that the CCT has been surpassed in the holiday seasons. It was determined that the TCC is restricted by the infrastructure of the park and has occasionally been exceeded in high seasons. To achieve a sustainable use of PA, the method requires incorporating the area of influence, the social and economic dimensions of the host community and the visitor perception. A model of sustainable tourism development is proposed for PA
