A Hopi Snake Dance kilt in the Arizona State Museum is shown to be a recycled remnant of at least two other woven garments, including an embroidered cotton manta of a type made prior to 1880. The body of this paper, in addition to describing the important features of this kilt/manta, turns to a general discussion of historic Pueblo textiles
