This tree-ring study of the Anasazi site of Long House in Colorado incorporates advances in modern dendroarchaeology developed since the original excavation was finished in 1962. This new study analyzed 1,136 samples, dated 838, and explores new ideas on tree-ring dating and dating theory. Results presented here concern the sequence for Kiva I, the most intact individual structure at Long House. In Kiva I itself, 65 of 69 tree-ring samples were dated, indicating that it was built over three consecutive winters, from A.D. 1270/1 to 1272/3
