The Southwestern prehistoric shell trade and its routes are briefly discussed in relation to two unreported caches of shell objects from the Flieger Ruin near Oracle, Arizona, and a site in Tucson, Arizona. The caches are evidence of a prehistoric shell trading and manufacturing activity along a route from the Gulf of California into Arizona and farther north
