This article explores Russia’s integration tests for migrants, introduced in 2015 and still in use today. These tests cover Russian language, history and law, and they serve as tools for cultural integration while reinforcing Russia’s vision of a Eurasian civilisation. The article analyses the content of four main preparatory textbooks for the tests and the broader sociopolitical context of xenophobia and national identity construction
