From the 1980s the issue of the quality of women's education began to catch people's attention. The emergence of this issue itself has an unusual significance, namely, that it is women's most active reaction to the challenge of the times. After being challenged to take part in politics, obtain employment, compete and develop themselves, Chinese women, on the one hand, have been seeking to improve the external environment, readjusting the relationship between men and women from the perspectives of laws, decrees, policies, and ideas in order to gain equal development; on the other hand, they have been actively reflecting on themselves through their setbacks and have realized that their own low quality is the subjective reason why they are often in a disadvantaged position in competition. Thus they have broken away from past self-satisfaction and self-indulgence and have turned to self-reflection to pursue self-improvement and perfection. This significant change indicates that Chinese women have climbed to a new level, and women's consciousness has taken a further step toward maturity. This leap can also be said to be a special gift of the period of reform and opening to women
